1870-St. Paul Church is formed, becoming the first African-American religious congregation in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

1873-The Church becomes affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church.

1877-Named after a devoted worker, the Margaret Hazel Missionary Society is organized.
 
1921-The current church building is purchased by Rev. C. B. Lawyer.

1974-Named after the second pastor of St. Paul Church, The Henry Buckner School is instituted.

Honoring the founder of the AME Church, Austin Street is renamed Bishop Richard Allen Drive.

1988-
A nearby building (formerly housing a local bowling alley) is purchased and converted into the Christian Life Center (CLC).

1998-The Christian Life Center auditorium is renovated and named The LeRoy Attles, Sr. Auditorium.

1999-
St. Paul Church membership grows to more than 1,500 congregants.

St. Paul launches a landmark capital campaign to accomplish the early retirement of its CLC mortgage.

2005-
With an October mortgage burning ceremony, St. Paul completes a landmark capital campaign to accomplish the early retirement of its CLC mortgage.

2009-
June - St. Paul marks the conclusion of the longest pastoral tenure in its history, celebrating Rev. Dr. LeRoy Attles' 32 years of faithful, dedicated and visionary ministry at St. Paul.

2009-
June - St. Paul welcomes its new pastor, Reverend Marcellus A. Norris.

2012-
January - St. Paul welcomes its new pastor, Reverend Melvin E. Wilson.

2013 November - St. Paul welcomes its new pastor, Reverend Ellis I. Washington.
